Session
mySmartSimulations®, Inc. just hired a new employee, Bob, into their Project Management department. Bob is assigned to work with their Manager of Instructional Design, Steve, to build and develop courses but doesn’t know that much about Instructional Design. To help bring Bob up to speed as quickly and effectively as possible, Steve decided to set up several face-to-face training sessions on Instructional Design.
For their first session, Steve has several goals to achieve. He wants to clearly define what instructional design is and why it is needed, so that Bob can distinguish between its advantages and disadvantages. Bob needs to recognize the various forms of content delivery to help him think critically about analysis and design. Steve wants to help Bob identify the instructional design process and compare and contrast the most commonly used instructional design models. Also, analyze the learner’s impact on instructional design and how Bloom’s Taxonomy can help Bob in writing content and designing performance tasks.
The course you are about to take is the instance of that training session.
